On Thursday, August 12th ,ONE Health Ohio at Falls Family Care was pleased to present a $1,000 donation to Heritage Accord during their National Health Center Week celebration.
“National Health Center Week” celebrates the role that community health centers have had in
providing high quality health care services, especially to those who live in areas where medical,
dental, behavioral health and pharmaceutical services are not easily accessible.
“ONE Health Ohio was established in 1986 and has served over one million patient visits,
improving and saving many lives in Mahoning, Trumbull and Stark counties,” states Dr. Ronald
Dwinnells (CEO, ONE Health Ohio). “We would like to thank the Newton Falls community for
their support by making a donation for the renovation of the Newton Falls Community Center.
Heritage Accord is a 501(c)3 that is currently renovating the Newton Falls Community Center to
its former glory. Built in 1941, the Newton Falls Community Center is a registered historical site
with the Trumbull County Historical Society and has also been named a Federal Landmark
through the National Register of Historic Places. The Community Center served as a venue for
events, wedding, and graduations prior to closing its doors in 2015. Heritage Accord is working
towards opening doors backup to the Newton Falls community.
