ONE Health Ohio has been awarded over $67,000 to help fight COVID-19 in the Mahoning Valley. The funds were dispensed through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and were provided to Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) during the COVID-19 Pandemic for screening and testing needs, medical supplies, to provide Telehealth when possible and more. According to HRSA.gov, HRSA has distributed 100 million dollars to 1,381 HRSA-funded health centers across the country to help with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ronald Dwinnells, MD and CEO of ONE Health Ohio states, “ONE Health has vigorously been battling the COVID-19 pandemic with our 175 medical front lines personnel. This funding will help us improve our telehealth program to allow better access to our doctors, nurse practitioners, physicians assistants, nurses, dieticians and behavioral health counselors during this extremely difficult period. ONE Health continues to be committed to the health and well-being of the citizens of this Valley!”
ONE Health Ohio expresses its gratitude for these funds and remains dedicated to providing quality care to its patients and the community during this crucial time.
