It is a story based on true events of an elderly and dying woman (Mildred Dixon) who befriends a young medical student (Jack Maizel).

 

Jack is a bitter and angry young man—a result of adverse life experiences—but Mildred sees beyond the layers of this animosity and sees the good in him. A surprising twist redirects Jack’s life towards a path that leads to the discovery of passion and purpose for his future.
